We became experts, and learnt off one another this morning in our history project lesson! 🤩🧑‍🏫 We each taught each other about 6 different Iron Age inventions that made life easier for Iron Age people, and wrote down key facts to help pass this information on 😀✍️

Great way to kick off our new project on Wednesday! 😀 We visited the park to see what forces we could see taking place, like pushes, pulls, gravity, friction, inertia, momentum and air resistance 🤩

On Friday, we undertook a mini experiment looking at friction 🔍 We made predictions on which material would cause the least amount of friction, and we explored what would happen to the toy car as a result of more or less friction 🤩

We had a splendid (but hot) time at Sports Day on Thursday last week! Here are a few action shots 🤩😮‍💨🥵

We created some parachutes this morning 🪂 We learnt about gravity and air resistance, which are non-contact forces that work on the parachute 🤩

Some great teamwork on show as we worked on our fitness and hand-eye coordination in PE this morning! 🤩🥵 We thought about how we could make easier challenges a little harder, by changing starting positions, movements, or type of pass 😮‍💨

Lots of fun testing magnets this morning! 😀🔍 We learnt that very few metals (iron, steel and nickel) are magnetic and lots of other metals aren’t! 🧲

Testing out magnetism! We measure magnetic force in Newtons this afternoon, using paper clips 🖇, magnets 🧲 and Newton meters. We found that some magnets seemed weaker than others, since the scales on the Newton meters were different 🤩😀

Almost half the class passed their times table challenge this week, some very impressive scores from lots of you! 🤩 You can tell most of us have been practising 😀 Great job!
