September 30th is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. A day to honour, remember and reflect.🧡

We’re starting our random photos day off with the two species of turtles in our ponds. Its hard to tell the difference between the Red-eared Slider & the Western Painted from a distance. Great to see the Western Painted closeup - the only native freshwater pond turtle in BC.
