Yesterday we welcomed public safety & social services professionals from Copenhagen, Denmark and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to join us for a week long peer exchange. 1st stop: Walking One Stop @ North Park at Scott Carver apartments. @nnscommunities @walkingonestop @miamidadepd

On Monday, the Miami-Dade GVI Program welcomed Denmark Police Department, the Group Violence Intervention Philadelphia and National Network for Safe Communities for a Walking One Stop in North Park at the Scott Carver apartments along with our Northside District officers and members of our community.

Yesterday, our Miami-Dade GVI program along w/ the Communications Bureau & Real Time Crime Center, gave a behind-the-scene tour to the Denmark Police Department, the Group Violence Intervention Philadelphia & National Network for Safe Communities where they got a first-hand look at their operations.

Chief Cecilia Ashe joined a recent National Institute of Justice podcast to discuss collaborative, evidence-based gun violence reduction, GVI, and Wilmington’s successful partnership with NNSC. nij.ojp.gov/topics/article…
