4th graders road on an “airboat” through the Everglades 🐊 today to kick off exploring the Southeast Region! The best part was them saying “aww” when we told them we needed to unload the boat to head to recess 😂

Note to self: don’t put a PJ Day on a Monday…even if the kids tell you they’ll remember…most of them will forget 😂 Don’t worry we problem solved and ate lunch in the classroom with a show to celebrate our class reward

Rounding is more than “5 or above, give it a shove”. A concept we’re working more in my newest math MTSS group! Who knew tape could be so exciting??

College and Career Week Guest 3 and 4: Mrs. Wilkes husband, Officer Wilkes and a student’s sibling, Olathe North + Olathe Leadership Lowrider Bike Club grad, Oswaldo! We had fun this week looking at just a few things we could do with our future!

These 4th graders TYPED (which they LOVED) narratives based on being trapped in a snow globe. Therefore it only made sense for us to make our own snow globes and have mini pictures of us trapped inside. My favorite project so far AND their best writing yet! ❄️ ⛄️

Did the popular chairs on 🚫strike 🚫activity to wrap up persuasive writing. It may have been my favorite writing activity we’ve done. ⭐️ Engagement was 100% ⭐️ Their claims/reasons/evidence were all so creative Don’t worry our chair were persuaded to end their strike 😌

🍀 🌈 💫 🦄 “A couple leprechauns (who are definitely not Mrs. Nichols and Mrs. Wilkes) stole our lucky charms!!” 4th grade mathematicians had to work with their team to find all 6 of their hidden lucky charms that went in their specific pot of gold!
