More Film Festival news for my latest movie, family fantasy adventure LEGEND HAS IT. Thrilled to announce it’s an Official Selection screening on the closing night of the LIFF London Independent Film Festival , Sunday 13 April, 6pm, at Genesis Cinema Whitechapel, London.

With the LEGEND HAS IT team at the Closing Night BeverlyHillsFilmFestival where Rob Weston, Cory Brusseau, Sam Baldoni won the Best Producer award! Much respect to them, and ExecProducer Esfandiar Ghodrati, for believing that movies like this can and should still get made!

So thrilled for LEGEND HAS IT to have been selected as the Closing Film for the 2025 London Independent Film Festival — screened to a packed house with a generous helping of our gorgeous cast and crew there as well. And to cap the night, we won the Award for Best Fantasy Film!

So very thrilled that #LegendHasIt has won an award at this year’s WorldFest Houston— the Gold Remi Award in the Action-Adventure category! So proud of our movie—can’t wait for wider audiences to get eyes on it!!

Beyond excited that Tamsin Greig won Best Actress for her amazing performance as witch Nisibi in #LegendHasIt at San Antonio Film Fest. Am so proud of this movie and thrilled that festivals keep wanting it, audiences keep turning up to watch it, and it keeps winning awards!

So September, Tues afternoons on C5 (in UK) and Sat eves on UPtv (in US), is all about sunshine and murders. Literally. THE SUNSHINE MURDERS. A new cozy-crime comedy-drama I’ve been directing in sunny Cyprus. It’s wholesome fun for the whole family. Despite the murdering.

This lovely cozy crime comedy drama’s US premiere is this Thursday on UPtv . I directed 6 of its 10 eps (1,2,3,4,9,10), and had a ball. It lands on the UK next week as well. More soon!

Exciting!! THE SUNSHINE MURDERS runs throughout the week on Channel 5 in the UK, from tomorrow: Monday 8th to Friday 12th. All five adventures, all five TV Movies, all week! One a day! And then all on the 5 catch up streaming service at the week’s end!!

Three more film festivals coming up for LEGEND HAS IT! Portland, Oregon, USA at the start of October… and then Istanbul, Turkey… …and Cambridge, England… …at the end of Oct! Very exciting! More soon!
