Over the weekend, we attended our first Northwoods League Softball game between the Madison Night Mares & La Crosse Steam Softball. Incredible experience, great atmosphere, and competitive softball. Highly recommend catching a game from any of the league’s five teams. #softball #fastpitch

In ’54, women’s pro ⚾️🥎 nearly merged. The AAGPBL needed a 6th team. Enter Emery Parichy, ready to merge his NGBL Bloomer Girls with the Muskegon Lassies. Instead, he bought 2 teams (Queens & Bluebirds), won the final NGBL title, then saw it all collapse by ’55. #theirturnatbat
