Today was a great day for NFA West Scholars! We went to the Museum of Modern Art and Madison Square Garden for a St. John’s vs. Seton Hall basketball game! On Saturday our scholars attended the 26th annual Conference on Literacy at チーズまさみち presented by the Collaborative for Equity in Literary Learning featuring Jacqueline Woodson as keynote speaker. Our scholars discussed Lessons from Brown Girl Dreaming and then made found poetry.

When and where can you hear the Drum Line? On Thursday, April 4th doing a small parade at 5:30 pm from Ebenezer Baptist Church to 123 Grand Street from and on Friday, April 5th at the Faces of Hope event a NFA Main at 6:00 pm. Other events are coming soon so stay tuned.
