More units means more people making the transition from unhoused to neighbor. Let’s keep it up! sfchronicle.com/sf/article/San…

There is no secret as to why our organization is so effective at stabilizing people experiencing homelessness. We earn their trust, and our clients it back in full by betting on themselves. Help us continue to make an impact by getting involved. linktr.ee/northbeachciti…

#NonprofitSpotlight: “Every person that has ever gone through that program over the years has found #housing because of their commitment not only to that program but to themselves” says Kristine Fairchild of North Beach Citizens ow.ly/15Ns50G6Dk5 #homelessness #homeless #community

As an organization that fights every day to get our clients housing, we want to be clear: Low income and houseless individuals deserve to live in high-opportunity neighborhoods, and shouldn't just be exiled to places where affluent people don't want them.

This is a wonderful breakdown of the Mayor's homelessness budget by Zak Franet. This is a historic investment in people experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity. The money will be there, the next step is putting in the work. sfallin.org/blog/funding-s…

We are looking forward to continuing our work with housing providers across the city to get people off the street. We can't waste this historic moment with extensive local, state, and federal funding. mercurynews.com/2021/09/20/bay… via Mercury News

SIP hotels have been invaluable to our work for this reason. The closing of these hotels, accompanied with the end of eviction protections for tenants, means that our homelessness crisis is about to get worse before it gets better.

We have seen first hand how much SIP hotels have helped some of our clients. Hopefully the city can utilize this historic moment to expand our housing stock and begin addressing our homelessness crisis with the urgency that our vulnerable neighbors deserve.

Come celebrate Italian Heritage with us this upcoming Sunday! After the big community-wide party in North Beach, we are hosting an exclusive benefit performance of The 7 Fingers new show at Club Fugazi. Tickets still available, hope to see everyone there! northbeachcitizens.org/events

This is simply too many vacancies while San Franciscans are still sleeping on the streets. With the end of the eviction moratorium, the crisis is going to deepen. We are the richest city in the world, if our system isn't getting results let's be creative and try something new.

This weekend’s storm took a toll on our unhoused neighbors. Please consider bringing warm clothes and blankets to our office at 1034 Kearny St so we can warm up those affected and make sure they leave with enough clothes to get them through the week

Friends, please consider if you have extra warm clothes to donate. Wet days like these are the most difficult on our unhoused neighbors.

Call in this Wednesday to save the SIP Hotels! The SIP Hotel program has given thousands of people a safe place to stay during the pandemic. There is no reason to shut them down while we are still receiving funding from the Federal government. #HotelstoHousing #KeepSIPsOpen

New: San Francisco will extend its emergency hotel room program for the homeless until Sept. 2022. The city estimates that extension will cost $67 million, $46 mill which they expect FEMA to cover. That leaves SF on the hook for $21 million.

"He just never gave up" Here's our obituary on Brian Edwards, a fierce ally for the unhoused, who was uniquely able to rise above the noise of city politics and garner the respect of many-- from his fellow advocates on the ground to top brass in City Hall sfchronicle.com/sf/article/He-…
