We had a very productive 4th session of Foreign Office consultations between Bangladesh & Republic of Korea today at RoK MoFA. RoK side was led by 1st Vice Foreign Minister Park Yoonjoo while Bangladesh side led by myself. Look forward to greater engagement between two nations!

We had a first ever Foreign Office Consultation with Kuwait led by Amb Sameeh Essah Johor Hayat, Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs today in Dhaka, where we agreed to move forward bilateral relations at a new height in potential areas of our mutual interest.

Today I have privilege to have 3rd Foreign Policy Consultations between Bangladesh and Philippines at DFA in Manila with Undersecretary Amb Hellen Vega, we discussed important issues of mutual interests to enhance our relationship, particularly promoting trade and investment.

I had call on today with Her Excellency Ma. Theresa P. Lazaro, Secretary of Department of Foreign Affairs (Foreign Minister) at her office after 3rd session of Foreign Policy Consultations. We discussed issues of our mutual interest to take bilateral cooperation to a new height.

Today I met also Undersecretary for Migration Affairs H.E. Amb Leo Herrera Lim at the Department of Foreign Affairs and discussed issues on migration and consular affairs for our mutual benefits.

Had 6th Round of Senior Officials’ Talks (with Ms. Sarah Storey, First Assistant Secretary, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade at a cordial atmosphere, we reaffirmed our commitments to deepening ever-growing bilateral relationship. HC Borhan and HC Ryle were also present.

We had first ever foreign office consultations between Bangladesh and Cambodia on 23 December 2025 at MoFIC in Phnom Penh, where entire gamut of bilateral issues were discussed. Deep gratitude to Co-Chair HE Un Kheang, Secretary of State of MoFIC of Cambodia.

We had a fruitful 5 th round of negotiations on Partnership and Cooperation Agreement with EU led by Ms. Paola Pampaloni, MD, EEAS. Very delighted to conclude our negotiations, now after completing necessary formalities, the agreement, first in SA, will be signed at the earliest.

It was pleasure to receive today Amb Kimmo Lahdevirta of Finland based in New Delhi. Had fruitful conversations on issues of our mutual interest to enhance our bilateral relationship, particularly in the field of trade, technology and investment.

Happy to receive Hon Health and Mass Media Minister of Sri Lanka Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, MP, who is representing his government to tomorrow’s swearing in ceremony of newly elected Government of Bangladesh! Hope our bilateral relationship will further strengthen in coming days.

Last evening warmly welcomed Hon Foreign Minister of Nepal HE Mr. Bala Nanda Sharma (Lt General, Rtd), who arrived Dhaka to join swearing in ceremony of new government of Bangladesh later today. Look forward to deepening our relationship with Nepal in coming days.

Honour to welcome Hon Speaker of Lok Sabha HE Om Birla of Republic of India, who arrived this afternoon to attend oath taking ceremony of new government of Bangladesh. Look forward to meaningful engagement with India in coming days.

Last evening received Hon FM of Maldives Dr. Abdullah Khaleel, who arrived Dhaka to attend oath taking ceremony of newly elected government of Bangladesh. Hon President of Maldives arrived this morning to grace the occasion. Relationship with Maldives will expand in coming days.

Paid tribute to language martyrs who sacrificed their lives for mother tongue on 21Feb 1952. Today we observed with due solemnity Language Martyrs Day and international mother language day (IMLD), at early hour at Shahid Minar and later at FSA.
