To address this critical issue, CoE-ATMAN at #IITKanpur, under the leadership of Prof. S. N. Tripathi has collaborated with Bihar State Pollution Control Board, Govt.of Bihar led by Prof. (Dr.) Ashok Kumar Ghosh to establish a network of air quality monitors with 540 nodes across Bihar. (2/8)

This initiative is being implemented with support from Rural Development Department of Bihar and facilitated through the District Magistrates / Dy. Development Commissioners across the 38 districts. (3/8)

The air quality monitors being used for this purpose are developed by India based start-ups like #Airveda Technologies. These unique air quality monitors are capable of operating on solar energy for long hours, to overcome unforeseen interruptions in electricity supply. (4/8)

Data generated from this large-scale network will help the government end urban-rural disparity in policy making, and enable air pollution related programs and workshops to increase awareness among the #RuralPopulation (5/8)
