200 years ago, George Smith was granted the first licence to legally distil whisky in Glenlivet. Now, archaeological fieldwork by our charity, in partnership with The Glenlivet, has shed new light on how the whisky-making process was industrialised. > brnw.ch/21wR2ag

#MunroOfTheMonth! Ben Lomond is a relatively short king compared to other Scottish Munros, standing at 3,193ft / 974m. But what it lacks in altitude it more than makes up for in panoramic views of Loch Lomond. 📸 Daniel Hughes, Anne Kirkham, Keri Moodie #ForTheLoveOfScotland

The majority of places in our care have well-documented histories. Abertarff House is the exception: we know it's the oldest surviving dwelling in Inverness, but know nearly nothing about its early history – until now! > brnw.ch/21wR5oG #ForTheLoveOfScotland
