Good news! @mastprogram shows that while the duodenal #microbiome of those who smoke changes, ex-smokers have a microbial pattern more similar to those who never smoked! Our data is published in Scientific Reports-rdcu.be/cLkw8 BTW-better just not to smoke, like ever(my PSA!)

In 2016, I reported concerns about papers published in Springer Nature's Oncogene Journal. I sent a reminder in 2019. I sent another reminder two weeks ago. Their senior publishing editor just wrote me back saying that the investigation is still ongoing. 😭😭😭😭😭
