On 26 July, the MWSS-174 EOD Section conducted emergency improvised explosive device response training aboard MCBH. Their continued training is vital to the Gryphons’ ability to support rapid crisis response throughout the USINDOPACOM Area of Responsibility.

Today, a select team of Gryphons had the opportunity to support the community by rendering military honors and bidding farewell to a Marine of yesteryear who served our Nation with honor, courage, and commitment. They executed with absolute precision and professionalism.

MWSS-174 is proud to work with ‘Aikahi Elementary Aikahi Elementary. Marines gathered last Saturday to improve the school grounds. The Gryphons look forward to working with students in working towards the Gryphon ideals of leading with character, doing your best and working as a team.

The MWSS-174 EOD section along with 9th ESB and MWSS-172 EOD sections joined together to conduct expeditionary training on the Korean Peninsula. This training enhances the squadron’s interoperability with unified action partners as it faces challenges in the INDOPACOM theater.

Marine, Sailors, and families of MWSS-174 gathered on 28 July at Hale Koa Beach aboard MCBH for the annual Gryphon Family Day and Beach Bash. The Gryphon Ohana is essential to the Squadron's readiness and will be an area that continues to thrive in future events to come.
