Monster et al. GloerichLab show how epithelial cells can round up in #mitosis while maintaining epithelial barrier integrity. This requires an asymmetric composition of mitotic cell-cell junctions through an E-cadherin mechanoresponse in neighbor cells. bit.ly/3ex5iBb
