Our Tomahawk Elementary students are excited for The Rabbit hOle to open! We’ve explored some books that will be featured at the museum. An instant favorite has been ‘Fortunately’ by Remy Charlie. Fortunately, the Rabbit Hole is almost open! Unfortunately we have to wait till Tuesday.

We had a blast visiting on opening day! The Rabbit hOle is a magical place that truly immerses visitors into the book world. So exciting this gem is in Kansas City!

1st graders and kinders have been learning about media balance in library. They coded their Ozobot to make good media choices. Thank you to the Shawnee Mission Education Foundation for the E2 grant to bring this engaging, innovative resource to our Tomahawk Elementary. So much excitement throughout the process!

Flamingos, penguins, and snakes oh my! 2nd graders have been working hard on researching an animal in library, writing a report in class, and then coding an Ozobot course for their animal to follow. Neat to see all their work come together! Shawnee Mission Education Foundation Tomahawk Elementary

6th graders are leaving their mark in our library. They picked a book that left an impact on them and left an encouraging note for the next Tomahawk Elementary to read.

Getting logged into all the online resources during library, but why not make it a puzzle/word scramble. These Tigers had fun collaborating, using our resources and figuring out the mystery word! Tomahawk Elementary Shawnee Mission School District Libraries

A story about a frog with 600 legs and 600 eyes was just part of our great visit w/ J Scott Savage!! Tomahawk Elementary enjoyed hearing his story, learning about his new book, and left with the message to ‘Be Yourself.’ It was exciting to meet an author! #jscottsavage #QISL

We are becoming experts on finding our favorite books! Kinder, 1st, and 2nd graders went on a hunt in the library for our favorite book characters. 2nd graders challenged themselves and wrote the call numbers! Tomahawk Elementary Shawnee Mission School District Libraries
