Nothing like learning stations to give students quick movements breaks as well as getting them engaged in the curriculum! Today students practiced writing and solving multiplication expressions to match the scenarios at each station.

This week students learned all about the little peaceful spot of emotions. We talked a lot about what it means to be peaceful & calm and then we learned different strategies to helps us calm ourselves if we are feeling BIG emotions!

Today students showed off their multiplication skills by using different strategies to solve for their equations! An added bonus was they made these adorable fall trees!

After spending last week learning different tools to help us calm down and find our peaceful spot, this week we talked about different things that make us feel angry and how we can use those tools to make sure our anger spot doesn’t get too big!

In Literacy, we’ve been learning about various ways children access books and learning in the world. In Library, students connected their literacy learning to a read aloud that Mrs. Hanley read to them. Students learned about how little free libraries were created to share books.

In math this week we have been focusing on figuring out how to solve a word problem when given one. Our focus has been deciding whether it is an equal groups problem, comparison problem or part-part whole problem. Then we solve!

Writing a paragraph but make it fun! I love how excited my students were to write paragraphs about Thank You Mr. Falker! Nothing better than students who are happy and excited to learn
