There simply aren’t enough specialist provision places to meet demand, huge numbers of students who need specialist provision are in mainstream. Let me be clear… the concerning rise in exclusions of SEND students is due to LA’s not providing adequate provision for young people.

As a leader in school, the way in which you talk to and treat the students and staff you lead sends a more powerful message than any written policy.

I don’t want tax cuts. I want the ambulance to arrive. I want good schools, public transport and town centres. I want investment in jobs, education and people. An extra tenner a week is no good to me when society is falling to bits.

I don't want lower taxes. I want hospital beds. Trains that run on time. Kids who aren't too hungry to learn. Libraries in every town. Rivers that don't run with slurry. Local councils not forced into bankruptcy. Politicians who don't venally line their own pockets.
