2nd place finish for the team and 2nd individual finish for William Lightle with a 71 at the Oakland County D2 tournament. The 2nd place finish moves South Lyon back up to D1 next year. Felt like we left some out there today but tough playing in the rain for nearly two hours!

Another solid tournament day w/ a 309 at Hudson Mills. Good for a T-3rd finish. Lions had 4 scores in the 70s between both teams. Curry and Cashen both with 74, Lightle 75, and McRoberts 76. Dunham 83 and Russell 85 both with solid rounds as well. Congrats to SLE on the win!

3rd place finish at the Jim Sander Memorial @ Prestwick Village with a score of 323. Will Lightle with a tie for 1st w/75. Pierson curry followed with a 5th place 75. McRoberts (85) and Schehr (86) finished the scoring for the Lions. Keep making progress!

Lions with a 160-173 win at Beacon Hill bs WLN today. Tough course with trouble everywhere but solid playing by the boys. William Lightle led with 39 followed by Curry, Cashen, and McRoberts with 40, 40, and 41 respectively. 2 more this week with WLC tomorrow and WLW Thursday!

Also a nice day by William Lightle representing South Lyon at the Oakland County D1 tournament at Fieldstone. Solid 77 was good for 25th overall out of a field of 118 players. Great job Will!

Lions are LVC co champions for the 2024 season! After placing 1st at the preseason tournament, 6-1 finish in league matches, and a 3rd place finish at the post season tournament the Lions tied with SLE with 20 total points. Great job boys!

In addition to the league championship the Lions also had 3 all league players. William Lightle was 2nd overall in the league with a total score of 150 in the pre and post season tournament. Pierson Curry was 10th with 160 and Carson Schehr was 15th with a 162.

Results from today’s post season tournament. Lions 3rd overall today with a solid 309. Lightle with 73 was 2nd overall followed by McRoberts with 76. Schehr and Weaver rounded out the scoring both with 80.

Congrats to Senior William Lightle on signing to play golf at Alma in the fall! Will has been a 4 year varsity player and we are all excited to see him continue to perform at the next level!

Lions are headed to States! The boys qualified (2nd place) in a loaded region with a 314 today at Pine View. Garret Cashen and Pierson Curry with 76, Will Lightle 79, and Evan McRoberts 83. The boys will play June 7th and 8th at the D1 tournament at Bedford Valley!
