Great end to an awesome week of learning. Renee Fain and I presented our microgreens inquiry science and literacy unit. We are ready to engage our students through inquiry. #Activitybeforeconcept #QFT #giveonetakeone #storyboards #artinscience #creativenonfiction #mylsps

Its important to have high expectations for students with special needs. Assess their ability, meet them where they are in their learning, and facilitate their journey to close the learning gap.

It’s ok if students ask directions to be repeated. Encourage students desire to want to know what’s going on. Saying you should have been paying attention defeats everything and sets the student back in their learning.

What’s good for special ed students is most likely also good for general ed students. Engagement fosters inquiry, and inquiry fosters emotional connections which leads to life long learners.
