A1: An unforgettable leadership lesson I've learned is from the video below: Leadership is over-glorified! A first follower validates a leader, so find others doing amazing things and follow them. Don't worry about "getting credit" #EinsteinFellows23 ted.com/talks/derek_si…

A2: Leadership is, both, public and lonely. This feels obvious to say, but having "all eyes on you" is intimidating! For myself, I work hard at finding strong mentors who are better than me at the skills I want to improve; I have my community, so I'm not alone. #EinsteinFellows23

A3: Teaching requires the development of many skills that are highly valuable in industry and government. I would love a leadership path that connects teachers to local industry and government, to showcase how teaching improves your marketability & skill set! #EinsteinFellows23

Bonus A: My pro tip for building your own community of leaders is to know your goals. Always have a 5-yr goal! My goals for this fellowship have already helped me recognize and capture life-altering opportunities with truly incredible people. Know your goals!! #EinsteinFellows23

What an amazing day at the Library of Congress! As part of our #EinstenFellows23 professional development we learned about the library's rare documents, ancient texts, and preservation techniques. Bloodletting instructions; letters from George Washington; crazy cool history at LoC!!

Love the fluorescent gel electrophoresis lab using a miniPCR costing $80 - $300 (these are thousands of dollars only a few years ago!) during #NSTA23! Super cool #Einsteinfellows23 #STEMeducation #stem #teachertwitter #teachersoftwitter

(Intro) My lifeline has always been my wife, Melissa, and our continuous effort to find balance between work and home-life. Balance is key to sustainability, and I truly feel most teachers do not find this balance, exacerbating to teacher burnout #EinsteinFellows23 #teacher #STEM

(A1) I highly suggest elementary teachers follow NCTM's and National Science Teaching Association's websites which house numerous structures and ideas for teachers. I've seen many preK-4 teachers utilizing code.org to cover Math and Lit via comp sci activities #EinsteinFellows23 #teacher #STEM

(A2) What do you want to students to remember? This core question guides how informal learning opportunities connect to class standards/practices. Encourage students to apply their skill to anything: games, sports, shows, anything! #EinsteinFellows23 #STEMeducation #TEACHers

(A3) I've ended my years in Physics with a "Bad Physics Movie" project, where students find examples of bad physics in film and explain what's wrong. Bollywood, anime, and super hero movies are consistently terrible!! Works in any class #EinsteinFellows23 #STEMeducation #TEACHers

I'm Mike Stewart and my favorite #computerscience resources are 100% Code.org and the Arduino website. I'm a novice amateur coder to which these are essential, accessible, affordable, and just plain fun! Easy for teachers and students at any age #EinsteinFellows23 #unplugged

A1: Jerome Hruska is a tech and engineering teacher and robotics coach at URHS Tech Ed who does an absolutely fantastic job growing CS skills in students! I am totally inspired by Jerome and the robots his SeaPerch / VEX Robotics teams build every year!! #EinsteinFellows23

A2: Simply having the opportunity to participate in CS is so profoundly important. I worked, for example, at getting Arduino tech into my classroom (CS is way outside my background)... these small efforts with conversations on career paths truly help students #EinsteinFellows23

What a wonderful experience taking with Thomas for The Physics Teaching Podcast!!! I've loved the podcast for so 👏 many 👏 years 👏 and I truly enjoyed sharing! I hope to get together again and hopefully also talk with @RobinSGriffiths 😎 #teachertwitter @Einsteinfellows23 linkedin.com/posts/michael-…

I am totally new to AI, and I have found Otter.AI to be a fantastic avenue to automatically record meetings, draft meeting minutes, and summarize meetings. For #TEACHers this can help capture lessons for absent students and draft department notes #Einsteinfellows23
