🚨 Morecambe RNLI lifeboat and hovercraft launched at 8pm on Monday 28th March to a kayaker in difficulties in Morecambe bay. The Kayaker and kayak were safely rescued and brought to the shore 🚨

1/2 On Tuesday 5th July 2022 at 9.30pm Morecambe RNLI hovercraft was tasked by the coastguard to a report of 2 people in the water half a mile west of Heysham village. The volunteer crew members conducted a search of the area

2/2 and quickly identified 2 night fishermen who were not in need of assistance. Steve Wilson, Lifeboat Operations Manager said 'in this instance it was a call with good intent and we are pleased with the outcome. It's important people make themselves as visible as they can’
