Last shift as a Birmingham response SGT done. It’s been the best & most enjoyable 3 years of my service yet. Worked with fantastic people, doing unbelievable things everyday. The Team presented me with lots of gifts and thank yous. Starting at Solihull as Inspector on Monday.

Absolutely gutted & fuming about this in equal measure. This equipment was used for maintain pitches so 100’s of kids could play football every week, as well as maintaining our first team pitch. If anyone has any info please call Leicestershire Police & please share. #grassrootsfootball

So next week we fly out on a family holiday to Florida & Mexico for 3 weeks. Mrs Darby has arranged much of it. So I now miss the Birmingham City FC Vertu Trophy final & Blues winning the league. Also I miss Heather St Johns FC County cup final & our Play Offs Last times she organising a holiday

Out of office is on, no work until May 7th. Great way to start the annual leave thanks to little sis. Cracking day out with mates at Birmingham City FC corporate. Met the one and only Jasper Carrott and the big boss man, Mr Wagner. And to top it off, a comfortable 6-2 win #BCFC

First week and a bit done. 2 more weeks to go, including a 5 day cruise to Mexico. It’s all going a bit quick. Florida is amazing though.

Tonight I had the pleasure of returning to my old station & team to say farewell to PC Cant. He has been a response cop in Birmingham for 30 years, & has tutored over 100 officers. Tonight he crews up a car for the time final before taking some leave & a well earned retirement
