The girls (and I!) had a great day visiting the Baillie Gifford office in Edinburgh, meeting their mentor for Future Asset and hearing from industry experts!

S3 Business pupils had a great morning visiting The Willow Tea Rooms, learning all about Glasgow’s first businesswoman, Kate Cranston, and having a go at some stencilling! Followed by a lovely afternoon tea 🤩

After the quickest 8 weeks ever, today was my last day with the Business Education @ Shawlands Academy team! So sad to be saying goodbye to the wonderful staff & pupils, but thankful for the support and guidance that the whole faculty have given me during my time there! 🥰

Miss Hilley and Miss Donaldson’s S2 classes engaged in some mock interviews for their dream jobs this week as part of learning the Recruitment Process. Some great interview answers given by all👏

Higher Business Management explored the various organisational structures found within businesses. They consolidated their learning by creating some fantastic marshmallow and spaghetti models, which they showcased to their peers!

The girls had a great morning at the Kick Off event with Future Asset. Lovely to be back at UWS too! Thank you for having us!

This week, our amazing Business Ambassadors spoke with parents and carers at our S1/S2 Curriculum Evening. We had a great night showcasing what our department has to offer, as well as showing off some outstanding work from our current S1 & S2’s!

Today my S3 Enterprise & Employability class got into the Christmas spirit, creating some hot chocolate cones & sweetie baubles to sell. How fab do these look?! 🎅🏼
