Yes, this is a great first step - but there is still a lot of work to be done to fix the NHS. Well done Ministers & the NHS staff, however cutting waiting lists to 2010 levels, recruiting enough Drs and nurses & ensuring people can get a GP appointments will be a long haul yet!

This is a decision nobody really wanted, especially the aid cut, but the PM is doing what is needed given the developing international situation.
