A nice way to grab common shaders for use in design work. Via Paper shaders repo just npm i and use. NeuroNoise shader by Ksenia Kondrashova I believe.

The most wonderful aspect of humanity is that desire to create. An idea, a photograph, a sandcastle, a 600 page book on llama farming, a life. Never stop listening to that voice that tells you to make. Even if it sucks. Make. Even if AI does it better. Make.

Can I add 3d & motion designer to my design engineer skill stack in less than 3 months? We're going to find out. 😅

Obviously C4D has kerning tools for extruded text. Why do you ask? 😂

Most people should be putting out a lot less "content". I much prefer my "content" to actually have content.

Some tea on a tray

Writing is one of the greatest thing in life. The fulfillment is greater than most materialistic things. Do not outsource your personal work to AI. Write even if you're bad at it. At least it's the real you. Don't give away the thing that makes you.

Lighting needs some work but not bad for a 15 minute modelling exercise. Lime phone? 🤷

New (good) styles just get insta-copied 4000x by broccoli bros and "did I cook" posts. The half-life of any design trend is ~3 days now. Stick with classic, well executed, design.. Unless, you're good enough to be first on something new and execute it well (like 0.2% of ppl).

People gripe about it, but I think the title Design Engineer makes sense. I truly believe the future of software will be decided by folks with creative ability and enough technical knowledge to make things real. More and more these skills will be covered by just one person.

Infinitely scrollable 3D portfolio gallery. Subtle scroll velocity effect. An admittedly forced chromatic aberration post-processing effect (for learning).

Devices are quite fun to model. Bluetooth speaker, no materials, just clay.
