With heartfelt sadness, we announce the passing of Brampton Fire & Emergency Services Brampton PFFA active member #418, Captain Greg Hughes. Greg began his career in recruit class 2001-01 on October 15, 2001. Please keep Greg's family, his friends, and his coworkers in your thoughts and prayers.

Our sincerest condolences to all of Captain Hughes’ family & friends. Greg loved the fire service & his role in serving City of Brampton. He will be greatly missed. Flags will be lowered at City Hall & all BFES facilities. Funeral details will be communicated in the near future.

Please join us as we honour the life of Captain Greg Hughes. Visitation will be May 23rd, 2-4pm & 6-9pm at Ward Funeral Home Brampton. Funeral Service will be May 24th, 11am at North Bramalea United Church.

May 23-24 we lay to rest BFES Fire Capt. Greg Hughes. This active duty firefighter was taken way to soon. It was our honour to give Greg & family the best tribute & celebration of his life. One of his last career decisions was joining our Honour guard.We will miss you brother.

Media Advisory: Ontario Fire Marshal will provide an update on Ontario’s latest fatal fires tomorrow. The event will be livestreamed.

Through our 2023 Home Safe Home Program we have visited 4604 homes, with 462 participants agreeing to the smoke and CO alarm inspection/installation. 25% of these homes DID NOT have working smoke alarms. Make sure YOU have working smoke alarms in your home. ^TH
