Lots of Tory-leaning papers talking down new towns today. Labour are proud of building Crawley and it sister towns. They gave us housing people could afford, good infrastructure, green urban space and decent employment. And now we plan on doing it again for the next generation.

Very sad to learn Ken Trussell has died. A Crawley Council councillor between 2010 and 2017 and Cabinet Member for Environmental Services, he joined the council the same year I did. He had a wry good humour which undoubtedly helped with being a councillor. Thoughts with his family.
