Homebuilders are feeling more confident.

Fears following the lousy jobs report were overblown. Initial applications for jobless benefits fell last week by the most in almost a year, placating the equity markets. Mortgage rates - which fell precipitously - have risen but will still be lower at year’s end than today.

Believe me when I say that there are NO merit to Presidents having more control of U.S. monetary policy.
