Very exciting to see these lambs coming through from the non-mulesed mob at Ben Webb, one of our Merinotech ram breeders. We look forward to seeing how these lambs perform!

Our 24-drop lambs were weaned on Thursday, ranging from 8-13 wks of age. Happy with how these are looking. Singles averaged 29 kg, growing at an average of 300g/hd/day, & multiples averaged 24.5 kg, growing at an average of 260g/hd/day from birth. Early growth genetics in action!

The team at Ben Webb were busy this week EMD & fat scanning the MA ewes + collecting their pre-joining WT & CS. Research suggests that fat measurements may be an indicator of whole body energy, so we’re hoping this data will contribute to better understanding the correlation.
