How is it final week of placement with JBOT - Jo Southall already?! 😱 This week has been a tying up loose ends kind of week; writing my last blog post, adding tips to the student induction pack, lots of reflection and prepping for my last group pacing masterclass tomorrow! 💚

Placement 3/3 ✅ What a 10 weeks it’s been with JBOT - Jo Southall! I’ve learnt SOOOO much and to come away with such amazing grades is the cherry on top of it all! Everyone should have a telehealth placement, it’s just been the best! Cov Uni OT Placement Team

Well that's it! Final meetings with @melaniealixwebb and Charlotte O`Connor. Another placement complete save for paperwork! It's been a wild ride as per usual. Once again got those weird feelings of pride and satisfaction combined with not really wanting it to end! #PracticeEducator

I’ve been invited to interview for my first OT role 😱🙌🏻 it’s a rotational position in some areas that I’ve never experienced before, so any tips?

Super super happy to have been offered a band 5 rotational position for when I qualify 🥳🙌🏻 The interview was amazing - the panel was soooo lovely and the vision of the Trust aligns with my values so much! Final push at uni now 💚

Often when I get student OTs or new rotational OTs they express concerns that hand therapy isn’t occupation based. This is a wonderful example, so many activities are reliant on good hand function. We get to incorporate anatomy & biomechanics with our interventions 👌👌

Found out that my first rotation as a qualified OT will be in Hand Therapy and I couldn’t be happier! I absolutely loved my time there on placement and I can’t believe I get to go back! Just one little (large) dissertation to submit and I’ll be raring to go! 🖐🏻💚

It’s all culminated to this 💚💚

Tomorrow I start with the Hand Therapy team; the team in which I’ll be proudly calling myself a qualified Occupational Therapist in when uni results are back and HCPC registration is complete! Feeling all of the emotions today - I can’t wait! 💚

I had the best first day with Hand Therapy 😄 Dissertation results were release today, and to find out I’ll be graduating with first class honours really was the cherry on top of a great day!! 💚💚
