Laying a wreath dedicating to all who served. This year, in particular to our shared history in the Commonwealth in the Second World War. Rainham and the country coming together in reflection. We will always remember them.🌺

Laying a wreath at Victoria Gardens, Chatham. This year marks 80 years since the end of WW2 and the birth of the UN. It's also 85 years since Dunkirk. We will remember them.

The news that a national lockdown could have been avoided is shattering. Kemi Badenoch should apologise on behalf of the Conservatives. People will never forgive them for partying while they left the country vulnerable and grieving.

'Anybody who is overtly party political should not be involved!' Lib Dem Deputy Leader Daisy Cooper is pressed on alleged BBC bias, and whether calls to remove Robbie Gibb from the board are hypocritical given the absence of similar demands for figures linked to the Left.

Ed Davey says the PM's chief economic adviser has recommended a customs union with the EU - instead of raising taxes, will he listen to this advice? Keir Starmer says closer EU relationships are being built, and he will continue down that path #PMQs bbc.in/48EkS8y

The Animal Welfare Bill by Danny Chambers MP 🔸🩺 has become law. This is a turning point for animal welfare in the UK - eradicating cruel practices, stopping pet mutilation and cracking down on the scourge of illegal puppy smuggling.

Demanding Resilience in Medway's water supply We wrote to the CEO of Southern Water to better understand the measures Southern Water is taking to ensure resilience, preparedness, and protection of customers in the event of future service disruptions. A fair deal on clean water 🔶

I've written to Southern Water on emergency measures should Medway's water supply be affected. It's about ensuring Medway residents don't get caught up like the chaos from South East Water.

We welcome the development of Deangate Community Parkland. Medway Liberal Democrats first proposed this greenspace in our response to the first round of HIF in April 2021, and have continued to advocate for its development at every local plan consultation 🌳

We are pleased to see that many of our long‑standing proposals for Hoo St Werburgh and Chattenden have been incorporated into the Regulation 19 Concept Plan for Hoo. We believe our proposals and evidence‑based concerns deserve serious consideration. medwaylibdems.org.uk/news/article/l…
