First up on panel #3: Lisa Yin Han (@goingHan) presenting on deep sea cable networks. She asks: "how might a media infrastructural reading of homo aquaticus [i.e., the aquatic man] complicate dominant narratives about the speculative union between humankind and the sea?"

Starting off panel #4 is Rafico Ruiz: he uses case of a school in Canadian arctic to think thru mediating properties + affordances of thermal exchange, rereading the site as an energy infrastructure that mobilizes histories of settler colonial dispossession and forced settlement.

Ruiz is followed by Nadine Chan who, centering the rainforest, thinks about infrastructure as an active physical and hermeneutical terrain. #media #infrastructure
