Who was at risk for #LongCovid? Just about everyone. "Initial COVID-19 symptom presentation varies; however, the development of PASC appears to be independent of COVID-19 symptom presentation, severity, or the presence of pre-morbid (pre-existing) health conditions."

Searching for clues beyond the EHR's... "This study provides new information that points to a distinct and statistically significant pattern of PASC symptoms based on symptom type and symptom onset originally derived from unstructured patient reports."

Conclusion --> "Our findings suggests that the evolution of PASC symptoms may follow a predictable pattern inclusive of a long duration".

"Confirmed factors (cold/flu like symptoms, change in smell/taste, dyspnea & chest pain, cognitive & visual symptoms, and cardiac symptoms) follow an arguably sequential pattern that could accompany progressive or persistent inflammation accompanied by endothelial activation."

Seen through this lens #LongCovid is not as random as we might think.
