2/ Somehow made to feel because professionals have been approachable in children’s services and “got to know” my son well that we should be grateful…. 3/

3/ Despite having incredibly complex needs and being exactly 2 months from leaving school, very little is in place. As a family we feel like we are wading through a muddy fried with treacle our wellies. 4/

4/ This past month has felt like the loneliest in our journey with Grant. If we are not having to regurgitate his needs, we are being made to feel grateful that professionals are “really nice people” despite not bringing much to the table or doing their own homework. 5/

5/ No wonder parents/carers say “I can’t do this anymore”. For the first time we feel broken by the system…
