Loved hearing Geometry students School of the Future talk about what they know based on the information given in the problem and then seeing them sort these triangles based on what postulate they could use to prove the triangles congruent. Carnegie Learning GEAR UP Philadelphia #studentdiscourse

Doing a data deep dive with Frankford HS Benchmark teachers was a great way to celebrate successes and identify standards for reteach as we move into the second half of the school year! Carnegie Learning GEAR UP Philadelphia #datadriven #nextsteps

What if there was a way to alter how you taught students or trained teachers so that they were more receptive to what you had to share? There is and this blog post applies advertising techniques to education: robertkaplinsky.com/the-5-types-of…

It was awesome seeing students at Martin Lither King High School work together to find equivalent representations of radicals and share their strategies with their peers. Then they tried an Open Middle problem to deepen their understanding! GEAR UP Philadelphia #longlivemath

Engaging in a challenging team task was a great way to create productive struggle and increase discussion about problem solving skills and teamwork. Building the high school math lead community in the School District of Philadelphia “one cup at a time.” #longlivemath

Is there anyway to give students virtual feedback during desmos classroom activities? I typically use them in class, but sometimes students finish them up for homework and it would be great to be able to type feedback to them as they work. Desmos

How are using ClassKick? Looking to give more feedback and structure to CPM review/preview problems because they are great, but I feel like right now with remote learning it is something students check off their to do list and I don’t have enough time to give meaningful feedback.
