Time to iron the hankies... We've been quiet here but busy practising and now we all seem to mostly know what we're doing, the sun is out, the birds are singing, it must be dancing season! Looking forward to our dress rehearsal on Sunday :)

Tonight we're dancing in Odiham with hosts Hook Eagle Morris and a number of other sides for St. George's Day, always a fun one! Join us from 7.30 to discover whether we can still leap into the air despite all the Easter goodies.

The sun is out, the sky is blue... There is some scaffolding to spoil the view, but it's jingling in our heart. And indeed on our feet.

It is said that patting our mythical beast N'Dobbin will ward off the evil liquid fairy, often referred to in olde English as LAGER. #FolkloreThursday

We should get ourselves a proper Instagram account at some point, but in the meantime several of our number use #mayflowermorris to share our adventures there so do check it out for some dancing and a lot of silliness!

Tonight we're out close to home at the Shepherd & Flock, Farnham, from around 7.45, with our nearest neighbours, the excellent Jackstraws. This is always a good one! And it's near the fire station so we enjoy the waves from the firefighters going past. It's the little things...

We are on our way to Dartmoor Folk Festival for a fun weekend of gales and thunderstorms 😬 I'm sure we'll all manage to enjoy ourselves anyway...

We have all survived the night on a very wet and windy campsite! Fortifying breakfasts consumed, kit awkwardly changed into, we will shortly be heading off for our first dance spot. #dartmoorfolkfest

I am unutterably delighted to learn that when a Portuguese person wants to express the thought ‘a bad workman blames his tools,’ she says instead that ‘A BAD DANCER BLAMES HIS TROUSERS.’
