We’re advertising for a class teacher within our lovely little Trust in Essex - including ECTs! essexschoolsjobs.co.uk/Vacancies/Deta… I’ve been here since I was an NQT and I’m still here as DHT a decade later - that says everything! 💙🫶🏼

Am thinking and writing about the implications of what colleagues are saying about their school improvement priorities. The second priority relates to inclusion in the curriculum, more here on my substack open.substack.com/pub/marymyatt/…

A plea to all headteachers, teachers, and teaching assistants - if you have LAC children in your care, give them as much care, love, and attention you can muster. The trauma they are carrying every single day is overwhelming! Ensure they are a priority item on HT reports 💔😢

One of the most important things, I reckon, to get right in classroom culture. I unpack this on my Substack open.substack.com/pub/marymyatt/…

17 years ago, in the first A-level lesson I ever taught, a student wrote such a fantastic first homework that I stuck it on the wall as a model answer. Last night, I cheered as he launched his first book via Biteback Publishing - and could not be more proud of him.
