Going to carry on with my #SharkTweets ! Sharks should be celebrated every day of the year, not just for one week. Today is about the Short Fin Mako shark. It's believed they can reach speeds of up to 70km per hour. Sadly this species is currently classified as endangered.

You may notice that our Basking Shark has been fitted with a nappy. The high humidity levels this summer softened the previously hard skin, making it pull away from the underlying form, so we had to secure it. We ask that visitors refrain from pointing and singing 'Baby Shark'
