A perfect example of inversion. This is dust from a disc chain about 4km away before sunrise. Same would apply to chem application, but be invisible. Spraying conditions matter Mary O'Brien

Terrain Flow + Overwatch (left) vs Overwatch (right). Stellar combination on grasses and BLW in wheat and faba beans 👌

Nozzle selection, tank mix effects on that nozzle, boom height, travel speed & volume all need careful consideration to minimise the production of fine droplets. Read David Johnson (FMC ANZ)'s practical tips on maximising the efficacy of your spray job 💧 buff.ly/3N1HMNn

Currently attending a FMC Spray Workshop. The video I took below really shows the effect of going from a tank mix with wetter, to a tank mix with On Coarse - an anti drift adjuvant. Zoom in for the best view. A huge improvement for growers to help keep their chem in the paddock!

Impressive turnout at Paskeville today! Huge kudos to all attendees diving into insights from industry leaders on optimising spray equipment to reduce drift, understanding weather conditions, and staying compliant with regulatory standards in agricultural chemical handling. #FMC

A slo-mo video of Teejet TTI 02, when a solution of wetter is in the boom initially, and On Coarse adjuvant is introduced into the boom line. The “white” fan becomes “clear”, with coarse droplets returning to Ultra Coarse. 👌👌 < 1% driftables. 👏👏

Well done to FMC ANZ for their grower/agro workshops to help increase awareness of issues surrounding off-target drift management. Was a pleasure to present about on-farm weather monitoring & stoked to supply the door prize of a Field Monitor mobile weather station. ~170

Great industry initiative this week through mid north and YP encouraging better chemical stewardship through spray technique. If you missed it you can catch up on key FMC presentations on gpatraining.com.au

Consider using FMC Parachute Spray Oil as the preferred adjuvant when doing post-emergent grass and BLW sprays in canola and pulses this season. It is a superior mineral oil, is IPM friendly and has registered claims against GPA. Always refer to the product label.

Overwatch has really proven beneficial in some canola programs, taking pressure off in crop herbicides. This high pressure headland would be out of control without it. Always amazes me the pink ryegrass still sucks up clethodim fine and dies.
