There is just a humbling atmosphere in Lower B when it's Wednesday Lunchtime!

Last week was another fantastic week for attendance at Newman. We had 48 pupils being recognised for their attendance with a Newman attendance hero card. It was inspiring to see Yr 11s being so dedicated to their exams last week and demonstrating the courage to be in everyday.

Today we lost a giant of literature and a voice for justice. Benjamin Zephaniah, poet, activist, and inspiration, passed away aged 65. His words challenged us, his passion inspired us, and his legacy will forever remind us of the power of poetry to spark change.

Can't wait to see what been happening thus half term!

Today Miss Hobin took a group of students to Oldham Athletic today to take part in a Send pupil voice event, were treated to an inspirational speech by Mushy from Educating Yorkshire and they were able to contribute their views to help shape provision in Oldham Council
