This is not the direction things should go. We need change. Investment. Resources. We need senior leadership to sit up and take note. And I don't mean your local HOM or even your Trust leads. This is a nationwide issue and we need Gov leadership not empty words.

All my kids go here. The school is trying so hard, kids doing their best to adapt, our MP fighting for us. The dep for education? Rather less visible, or helpful.

Nearly Time for Games Night again! All welcome for a social evening. You don't even have to talk to me, just turn up with your own friends if you want and take advantage of big tables and the bar!facebook.com/share/3NdCNh63…

Amazing night, what a party! @RobHeronTeaPad and Holy Moly & the Crackers we're just hoping you take a leaf out of Bellowhead's book and have a bit of a party every couple of years! Looking forward to catching you all with your other projects.

The age old problem isn't it. Investing in children means playing the long game and accepting you probably won't be in power when the big rewards come. So instead successive governments dismantle initiatives rather than build on them.

Nice little crowd on Palace Green, the choir were brilliant, blokes who sang with them pretty good too. Most importantly 3DadsWalking being on Look North will raise awareness for Papyrus. We were lucky to get support through Cahms for our teen when needed. Not all do.

Second time Hadestown UK today. Amazing. Possibly better for the second viewing. Continuing daughter's Greek Myth indoctrination "oh look, Natalie Haynes wrote for the programme, I have her books, isn't that a coincidence?" She already knew O was an Argonaut #favedaughter

Forgot to quote! Wonderful song. Love what this lot do with northern folk songs, so many great songs just begging for more recording and sharing. Afraid I reckon their rendition of Jowel Jowel beats yours Megson (conflict of interest: one of them is my son)

Same. Plus I have tickets for Bellowhead . This time including the children who may just about be persuaded to forgive me for not taking them last time.

Autumn garden. Flashes of colour and sunshine, beautiful webs and seed heads. Plus allotment goodies! Weekend de-stress, bulbs to plant, seeds to sow and weeds to dig.

Now I'm not saying that I have a favourite six in my Cubs but if I did then the ones who suggested knitting, cooking s'mores, board games and a country night might be them. #skillsforlife Durham Scouts JayneGibson
