In all the years that I’ve assembled or painted minis, I’ve managed to avoid working with metal but that changes tonight. 40K or K47, I’m a sucker for mutant werewolf units. At this point, I should expect to order the Axis starter set because I like what I’m seeing in this game.

I sidetracked Da Red Gobbo for a little longer to play around and paint one of the K47 Schreckwulfen. Trying to see if Waaagh! Flesh is a suitable substitute for Feldgrau and it doesn’t feel too far off from my memory of Tamiya’s. #miniaturepainting #Konflikt47

Alright! Axis Starter Army has arrived and right as I near completing the Grenadiers. Got a sprue of winter infantry this time which looks like I can now equip assault rifles and panzerfausts on the next batch of Volksgrenadiers. Thank you Warlord Games for that and special

Had a dream recently that the local hardware store was selling Bolt Action kits and the first thing I grabbed was a Panzer IV kit. Seeing as the Konflikt ‘47 Axis Starter Army comes with that kit plus accessories to build a Panzer IV X, seemed only right to build that first.

The Konflikt ‘47 Axis starter army came with decals so I figured I’d apply some to the Stahltruppen Officer that came with the rule book for a little more flair. The Panzer IV X is primed and I’m considering giving it the same camo scheme as the stahltruppen. #Konflikt47

One unit of Volksgrenadiers for Konflikt ‘47 is complete. Using the DAK sprue Warlord Games sent with the rule book, I opted to paint them with various bits of uniform/camo as though they were scraped together and kitted with whatever was available. Should add to the weirdness

It’s Wednesday and that means Work In Progress time. So far, I’ve got the Panzer IV X primed, basecoated, and started roughing in the camo pattern. I’ve seen a lot of great patterns to choose from and I think I’m gonna go with the same camo as Warlord Games currently has
