This morning the Hon CJ chaired a High Level Meeting for the Programme for Legal Empowerment and Aid Delivery in Kenya phase II (PLEAD II). The meeting brought together representatives of National Council of Administrative Justice, the European Union, UNODC, UNDP, Konrad Adenauer

The PLEAD programme which is funded by the EU has been instrumental in supporting and enhancing the capacity criminal justice institutions to ensure effective service delivery to the people of Kenya. The programme seeks to strengthen efforts to combat corruption effectively

Under the PLEAD programme the CJ has initiated system review by the EACC in the Judiciary to be replicated in the Police and Prison Service. This is in line with the role that the Hon CJ assumed in January 2024 to spearhead the anti-corruption agenda across the justice sector
