More than anything, I hate how these years have cheapened and profaned our public, civic exercises. And sure, a lot of politicians are not good people, but the *pretense* was still valuable, the tribute bad men had to pay to our collective values. This is just...base. Vile.

A reminder: it is inspiring that people are willing to wait in line for hours to vote, but let's not forget that it is *100% unnecessary*. Making it easy for people to vote is a solved problem. Plenty of countries do it. We could do it. We choose not to. It's a choice.
