I have always been told to surround myself with people better than me. This week, I watched my boyfriend open a show on the West End, and my best friend perform Stravinsky violin concerto with The Hallé. What a joy to celebrate them, and a privilege to learn from them every day.

If anyone needs me in the next 24 hours…I’m crying in a corner. 🥺 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿now to hope our fellow Celtic nation can bring home the goods for the northern hemisphere tonight! 🇮🇪

A terrible loss. Thinking of Kate and Archie's family at this heartbreaking time. It seems that every arts organisation in Manchester I've ever had anything to do with has been touched by Kate's hard work, vision and generosity. What a legacy ❤️

What a night! Bidding farewell to the legendary Sir Mark Elder after 22 extraordinary years with emotional chords of Rachmaninov & Mahler that brought down the house! The Hallé enchants Nottingham one last time under Elder's baton.
