We are so proud that Helen Shanahan has been given a British Empire Medal for her services to midwifery in Cornwall! Helen works as an Infant Feeding Counsellor for the Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust as well as being an NCT Breastfeeding Counsellor. Congratulations, Helen!

As a perinatal clinical psychologist I can sadly confirm that lockdown measures & maternity visiting restrictions have been disastrous for parents’ MH. Mother and baby need to be classed as one person. Baby groups ARE support groups. Partners are NOT visitors. #ButNotMaternity
