SECRET’S OUT! Once hidden coral reef off #SouthBeach now sparking effort to create a protected marine park. This reef tract used to extend up & down City of Miami Beach before sand renourishment smothered all but this nearshore section that up until recently was known to very few.

🚨BEACH ADVIDORY‼️ Ft Lauderdale beaches closed to swimming due to gobs of tar washing up on the shore and oily sheen seen in the near shore ocean. Beaches closed to swimming from Lifeguard Tower 1 Port Everglades north to Lifeguard Tower 10 Riomar street. U.S. Coast Guard is investigating.
