We are finally a fully vaxxed home 🤗. Mr 17 got his 2nd jab on Saturday. Mr 20 and his girlfriend got out of their 14 day iso as primary close contacts on Friday, just in time for a very welcome COVID-safe social weekend. It’s good to be vaxxed!

Posting for no reason other than I went to a real nursery, outside of my 5kms & purchased real plants, from a real life human in the flesh, and felt overjoyed to write my name & details in a paper notebook for their mailing list and that was momentous.

Dad tested +. Mum is -. Dad is Mums primary carer-she has Young Onset Alzheimer’s. Both 3rd dosed yesterday. All in home care now cancelled. Dad has to do Mums care alone whilst unwell. Mum is very vulnerable and all but certain to turn +. I’m worried for my folks.

Abusers thrive on our need for social comfort. They count on us to smile while they get on with their quiet hurts. Grace showed it is more important to express our dislike of someone who may/has hurt us, than it is to keep everyone comfortable. We need to make this ok & safe.

I support the recommendations from the Aged Care Royal Commission & better wages & conditions for care workers. Surely this should not mean seriously reduced hours of care for my parents because associated cost increases now exceed their care package. Can we fix it? Anika Wells MP

I'm in the Oz calling for the establishment of a collaborative agency to address child sexual exploitation. There's an unrealistic expectation that children are going to report their own exploitation directly to existing authorities. Only a minority do. theaustralian.com.au/business/legal…
