Why use Latin to improve literacy instead of English? MaximumClassics explains "you give the kids a toolkit for understanding words. If you know magnus means great, you understand 'magnitude' and 'magnified'... and why magnum ice creams are too big to have before your tea!"

From September we will be teaching Latin following a combination of Minimus and Maximum Classics. During the summer term, I would like teachers to experiment with some fun, practical, introductory lessons. Does anyone have any recommendations for resources?

This afternoon Neptune used string telephones to investigate how sound travels. We discovered that sound travels much better when the string is tight than when it is baggy and also that sound doesn’t travel so well when the string is touching something.
