Played Imperial Struggle with Felix. We both really enjoyed the challenge of managing trade, diplomacy and military considerations. Lots of tough decisions leads to immersive gameplay. More complex than TS IMO. Lots of replay value. Excellent design! GMT Games

Finished the day with a play of Endeavor with some expansion elements that helps to keep the game fresh. A great game to play after the brain burn of Imperial Struggle. I’m amazed by the simplicity of the game play. Such great decisions and tension with such streamlined play!

Great session of A Handful if Stars session with Jim. Really enjoyed our play. The mix of developments and research tech cards along with tight combat made this quite enjoyable. Love the shuffle track to end the game. Wonder if it can be used with Mythotopia?

Next up was Futuropia. This was an interesting game but it fell flat for me. Most of the time the decisions were obvious and so there was not a lot of tension in the game. Breaking the produce spend cycle creatively helps, but it still seemed lacking in meat on the bone.

Also played Crystal Palace. Enjoyed my second play with 2p much more than first with 5. Very snappy pace with 2. Interesting choose your own pip value idea and it was easier to manage income in my 2nd play so it wasn’t so stifling. Want to play again for sure. Enjoyable.

I found that Tim Fowers Paperback and Hardback did the best job with this problem due to the use of the wild cards and the hand size which does not punish a player for not knowing ridiculously long and convoluted words. They are really the only word based games I enjoy tbh.

Playing the wonderful Piepmatz from Ben Pinchback and Matt Riddle So glad I got a copy of this. Just the right amount of math, and tough decisions throughout the game. Love the play low - play a card from hand, or play high and take the bird on the perch with great chain reactions!

First Game at Pax! Starting off with a beautiful new game by Steve Finn, Eduardo Baraf and Clementine Campardou @DrFinnsGames Fantastic production and art! Love the color blind friendly pawns. Fast with agonizing choices.

Played Holi. Really interesting abstract game where the theme comes through at times (throwing the dye on others, watching it drift down etc. Nice puzzle game.
